Stayed here with my family, great room ! Looks like it has recently been refurbished to a luxury standard. They had proper beds for the kids which is rare! Staff were very friendly and the restaurant downstairs served delicious food, over all we were very impressed

Nice clean pub rooms. Small but secure with refurbed bathrooms. Warm and quite comfortable. A pretty standard double bed but still sleep worthy. Staff were very helpful and happy to assist. No lifts as stated but we were able to leave most of our luggage in the car. Dinner is limited as the cook called in sick but there’s a few budget options nearby. Just avoid the kebabs. Great location to visit the Fyrish monument. Value for money this stay.
Triple room for our John O'Groats trail walk worked well, opposite Coop for stocking up. Very helpful staff. One bed was a bit too soft.
We only called in for a pint and stayed for a few more, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the locals (Ann & Bri (Ireland shirt)) made us feel liked we'd been there for days , thank you
My partner and myself recently dined here and the food was 1st class. Great service. Well looked after at all times. Highly recommended. 5 star. I miss The Robertsons, they were Simply the Best!! ????????????????????????
So much nicer in the restaurant now they have done it up! Very impressed, the restaurant is lovely and modern, looks much more like a hotel restaurant. The food was a little on the pricey side, but not overly so, the food is definitely more aesthetically appealing and much better quality! The Balmoral chicken was fantastic.
Great service, friendly staff and the food is scrumptious. Food is very competively priced in comparison to other restaurants and hotels in the area. I would have to recommend the steak pie it is so nice with loads of succulent beef which tends to just melt in your mouth. I cannot praise the Commercial Hotel enough om its food and staff.
Stayed here while WALKING the North Coast 500 to raise awareness for men's mental health and baby loss, The staff are very helpful and friendly, I had shinsplints and the owner was nice enough to buy K tape and leave it in my room for me arriving. The food downstairs was lovely and the room had a good atmosphere. My room had a very comfy bed along with modern amenities including en suite.
